Tiddy Hall has held many exciting events and functions in the past. Here are some samples
Weddings
The hall has been used many times for parties to celebrate weddings, wedding anniversaries or special events. The hall lends itself to being decorated in a style to suit the occasion such as the Moroccan inspired wedding held a few years ago (see photos). On one occasion the car park itself was transformed into a wedding reception area with the erection of an enormous marquee.

Folk Club Events
Folk nights – Tiddy Hall has a rich tradition of folk music dating back to the time when the old hall was first built in 1912. Since the new hall opened in 1998 folk nights have continued to thrive and there are around a dozen held each year.
The shows are run by The Wychwood Folk Club and in 2014 some of the most famous names in folk music, Gigspanner, Richard Digance, The Carrivick Sisters have all performed at Tiddy.

Dinner/Dance & Misc
Dinner dances – the hall is also used by a number of local organisations and societies e.g. the local fishing club and the Ascott - under - Wychwood pre-School, for social events or as an opportunity to raise funds .

Morris dancing – Reginald Tiddy, in whose name the Hall is dedicated, was a keen advocate of local tradition and there is a memorial stone in the new hall (taken from the original hall) which was “ set up by those who worked and danced with him”. He loved the Morris dancing and Mummers plays and to this day Morris dancers return to Tiddy for occasional events, notably the 2012 centenary when the Charlbury and Eynsham sides sang and danced to celebrate the event.
Film Nights
Film nights – the committee of Tiddy Hall have frequently shown films – sometimes foreign films (The Choir, Life is Beautiful, La vie en Rose, Volver) , sometimes recently released films (Les Miserables, Exotic Marigold Hotel, Mama Mia) and often with a meal to accompany the show. The committee have also put on a number of children’s’ shows during the holidays. It is possible for groups or individuals to put on similar shows and either use their own equipment or hire equipment from the Flix in the Stix committee.
